One-of-a-kind anti-pain centre in France

The first national research and development sector for painkillers has mushroomed in Auvergne. Baptised, Analgesia Partnership, it is chaired by Alain Eschalier, Professor of medical pharmacology and Director of the INSERM UMR 766 "Clinical and fundamental pharmacology of pain" unit.
It rounds up eight partners from the public and private sectors (*). It is aimed at proposing an analgesia study platform for national and international drug and biotechnology companies as well as designing and developing new painkilling treatments.
Over time, it is also set on making Auvergne the regional benchmark in analgesic treatment innovation. A one-of-a-kind sector in France, if not Europe.

Within the scope of is sector structuring mission, ARDE Auvergne has come into play for Analgesia Partnership both for the development of its communication tools and the compilation of its “Auvergne Cluster” labellisation dossier.
