An attractive property market

For premises or land, the property market in Auvergne is especially attractive to businesses. For instance, the rental cost of new offices is 3 to 6 times less in Auvergne than Paris and 2 times less than Lyon.
Similarly, the selling price of land per square metre is 10 times cheaper than Paris and 7 times cheaper than Lyon.

An international environment

Being fully open to the world, Auvergne has set up tools aimed at international exchange.

CAVILAM (Centre d’Approches Vivantes des Langues et des Médias), a non-profit making French language school created by the Universities of Clermont-Ferrand and the town of Vichy, is a genuine crossroads of world cultures. It is open to students of over 110 nationalities and offers them bespoke accommodation.

The International School created on the initiative of the Michelin Group welcomes children of 15 different nationalities, from primary to the final year of secondary school. The teaching is bilingual in English and French.

The Groupe École Supérieure de Commerce (graduate school of management) of Clermont-Ferrand
runs double French and foreign degrees. Within the framework of its Specialised Master programmes it welcomes students of 15 different nationalities. The Group has just been awarded the label of excellence granted to the best management schools on a global level.
Finally, Clermont-Ferrand has a Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI) (centre for studies and research on international development) which works in close liaison with key French and international development-related institutions.
